MORNING PRAYER

COME HOLY SPIRIT

Come, Holy Spirit, Creator,
come from your bright Heavenly throne;
come, take possession of our souls,
and make them all your own.

You who are called the Paraclete,
best gift of God above;
the living spring, the living fire,
sweet unction and true love.

You who are sevenfold in your grace,
finger of God's right hand;
his promise, teaching little ones,
to speak and understand.

O guide our minds with your blessed light,
with love our hearts inflame;
and with your strength which never decays,
confirm our mortal frame.

Far from us drive our deadly foe,
true peace unto us bring;
and through all perils bring us safe,
beneath your sacred wing.

Through you may we the Father know,
through you the eternal Son,
and you the Spirit of them both;
thrice-blessed three in one.

All glory to the Father be,
with his co-equal Son;
the same to you, great Paraclete,
while endless ages run. Amen.

V. Send forth your Spirit and new life will begin.
(Easter season: Alleluia)

R. And you will renew the face of the earth.
(Easter season: Alleluia)

Let us pray. O God, who have taught the hearts of
the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that
in the same Spirit we may be truly wise and ever
rejoice in his consolation. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

VENI CREATOR

Veni, Creator Spiritus,
mentes tuorum visita,
imple superna gratia
quae tu creasti pectora.

Qui diceris Paraclitus,
altissimi donum Dei,
fons vivus, ignis, caritas,
et spiritalis unctio.

Tu, septiformis munere,
digitus paternae dexterae,
Tu rite promissum Patris,
sermone ditans guttura.

Accende lumen sensibus:
infunde amorem cordibus:
infirma nostri corporis
virtute firmans perpeti.

Hostem repellas longius,
pacemque dones protinus:
ductore sic te praevio
vitemus omne noxium.

Per te sciamus da Patrem,
noscamus atque Filium;
Teque utriusque Spiritum
credamus omni tempore.

Deo Patri sit gloria,
et Filio, qui a mortuis
surrexit, ac Paraclito,
in saeculorum saecula. Amen.

V. Emitte Spiritum tuum, et creabuntur.
(Easter season: Alleluia)

R. Et renovabis faciem terrae.
(Easter season: Alleluia)

Oremus. Deus qui corda fidelium Sancti Spiritus
illustratione docuisti, da nobis, in eodem Spiritu
recta sapere, et de eius semper consoliatione
gaudere. Per Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.

Pondering God's will for this day.

THE ANGELUS

V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.

R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary...

V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord.

R. Be it done unto me according to your word.
Hail Mary...

V. And the Word was made flesh.

R. And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary...

V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of
Christ.

Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your
grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the
Incarnation of Christ your Son was made known by
the message of an Angel, may by his Passion and
Cross be brought to the glory of his Resurrection,
who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

REGINA CAELI

(Easter Season)

V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, Alleluia.

R. The Son whom you merited to bear, Alleluia.

V. Has risen as he said, Alleluia.

R. Pray for us to God, Alleluia.

V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, Alleluia.

R. For the Lord has truly risen, Alleluia.

Let us pray. God our Father, you gave joy to the
world by the resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus
Christ. Through his Mother, the Virgin Mary, bring us
to the happiness of eternal life. Through Christ, our
Lord. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL PRAYERS

MOST HOLY TRINITY, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we
believe and hope in you. We love you, and we ask you
for the grace to live in intimate and constant union
with you.

HEAVENLY FATHER, in your great mercy, you sent your
Son, Jesus Christ, and revealed to us your plan of
salvation which he fulfilled on the Cross. We desire to
faithfully unite ourselves to your Son for your greater
glory, above all, by receiving with love, the Cross you
wish to send us.

JESUS, Eternal Priest, Immaculate Host, help us to be
transformed into you, by doing as you did the Father's
will, with perfect obedience and humility of heart.

HOLY SPIRIT, enlighten us and breathe into us the love
of God. We want to live our consecration to you by
being obedient to your inspirations and leading all
people to know you and love you.

MARY, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, we want to
meditate upon and share your sorrows, especially
those you suffered on behalf of the Church after the
Ascension of your Son. In your presence, we renew
our religious vows (laity, postulants and novices: our
Baptismal promises). Obtain for us the graces we need
to observe them faithfully and bless the members of
the Family of the Cross.

V. St. Joseph, spouse of Mary,

R. Protect our Congregation and obtain for us the
grace to persevere in our vocation and die in the
state of grace.

V. Holy Guardian Angels,

R. Guide us that we may always be true Missionaries
of the Holy Spirit.

V. For all Priests,

R. Lord, increase their faith and apostolic zeal.

V. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few,

R. Send, Lord, laborers to your harvest.

V. For our Superior General and all our superiors,

R. Eternal Shepherd, help them to be docile to your
Spirit. May they lead their brothers with the spirit
of love, helping them to faithfully respond to your
call.

THE OFFERING OF THE
     INCARNATE WORD

Heavenly Father, through the hands of Mary, we
offer you Jesus, the Incarnate Word, the victim in
whom you are well pleased. Moved by the love of
the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we offer ourselves
completely with him as living hosts. May we be a
living sacrifice out of love for you, in all the events of
our lives, obtaining graces for the world, the Church,
and especially your priests.

Jesus, savior of all people, save them!
